Hydrochloric Acid, 31% (20° Baume) and 35% – 36% (22° Baume) – Hawkins terminalizes both 20° (31% w/w) and 22° Be (36% w/w) Hydrochloric Acid. The product can be supplied as is, diluted with water to a specified concentration, or mixed with Formic or Acetic acid to obtain a desired acid reactivity. The product can be further customized by the addition of corrosion inhibitors. Hawkins can also custom blend Hydrochloric acids for particular applications.
Description
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is the aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride gas. It is a strong, corrosive acid, clear to straw yellow in color, derived as a co-product from a variety of chlorination reactions or by burning chlorine with hydrogen.
Hydrochloric acid is produced in solutions, most commonly 31% or 35% depending on application and freight considerations.
We can custom blend percentages to your specifications.
Solutions for household purposes, mostly cleaning, are typically 10% to 12%, with strong recommendations to dilute before use.
