In the oil and gas industry, sodium or ammonium thiosulfate can be used to improve thermal stability of fluidized polymer suspensions. Sodium thiosulfate, 30%, potassium thiosulfate, 50%, or ammonium thiosulfate, 60% are standard concentrations of thiosulfate salts available, but can be diluted or mixed together for particular applications.
